pose de la chambre - installation of device

  

today, i went to hospital to install a device under my skin, where they are going to plug the chimio (like in Matrix). i had a light localanesthetic, and i've been "hypnotised"....it was really wired....he made me talk about something i like....painting, and then, talked to me really softly during the operation about painting.... i could feel everything with the operation, but i felt really relaxed because of the "little voice".....amazing these new technics!!! the good thing about it, is that you are awake all the time, so when it's finished....well...you're just awake and normal.......really amazing experience.

since 3 days i have a really sore tummy, my doctor gave me some morphin patch....my cousine Fred was there, and she said it's working really well. she helped me install it....it takes few hours before you can feel the relief of the pain...i cant' wait.

they said the first week of chimio is the worse of all.....but soon, i will feel less pain as the tumor gets smaller....i can't wait!!!!

tomorrow chimio....i'm going with 3 friends (poor nurses....^^) it should be ok. 

today was difficult, but i had my amazing Fred with me, and that was a huge help.

Aujourd'hui je suis allée à la clinique me faire installer la chambre sous la peau, c'est là qu'ils vont brancher la chimio (come dans Matrix). j'ai eu une anesthésie locale légère, et un accompagnement sous hypnose...c'était vraiment bizarre...il m'a fait parler de ce que j'aime....peindre, et ensuite il m'a parlé tout doucement pendant l'opération de peinture...je pouvais tout sentir pendant l'opération, mais j'étais détendue grace à la "petite voix"....incroyable ces techniques !!!! ce qui est excellent, c'est que tu es éveillé tout le long, alors quand ils ont fini le boulot....et ben....t'es juste réveillé et normal, tu tchatches avec les docs, etc.....une expérience vraiment incroyable.

depuis 3 jours, j'ai vraiment mal au ventre, mon oncologue m'a prescrit des patchs de morphine...ma cousine Fred était là, et elle m'a confirmé que c'était très eficace. Elle m'a aidé à l'installer...ça prend quelques heures avant de faire effet....vivement!!!

demain chimio...j'y vais avec 3 copines (pauvres infirmières...^^) je sais que ça va aller.

aujourd'hui c'était difficile, mais j'avais ma Fred adorée avec moi, et ça c'était juste énorme!

Le prothèse capillaire te va superbien (tous les prothèses d'ailleurs)! Et de l'hypnose...ici on le fait seulement avec un anesthésie local... ça doit être bizar! J'espère que tu as déjà moins mal avec le patch. Courage,Cathy!
